We have better maps of Mars than of what a person can become.

Mars is photographed at thirty centimetres a pixel.* Human capacity, the thing every good life actually runs on, has never been mapped at anything close to that resolution.

* HiRISE, the camera aboard NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, images the Martian surface at roughly 30 centimetres per pixel from 300 kilometres up. It has been returning that resolution since 2006.
