Ask Greg
Submission terms
Version 28 October 2026
These terms apply to anything you send through humancreativecoaching.com/ask: your story, your question and anything else you write there (your submission). When you tick the box on the form, you agree to them. “We” means Human Creative Coaching and Greg Murray.
The short version
- Greg may read, quote and talk about your submission on live streams, in videos, on podcasts, on social media and in writing.
- Names and details may be changed. Your first name and city are only said if you tick that box.
- Leave out full names and identifying details of other people.
- This is not therapy, counselling or private coaching, and what you send is not confidential.
- You will not be paid, and you will not bring a claim over the uses described here.
The full terms below are what you agree to.
1. Who can send a submission
You must be 18 or older. Please do not send a submission on behalf of someone else.
2. Permission to use your submission
You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual and irrevocable permission to read, quote, summarise, adapt, edit, translate, record, publish and share your submission, in whole or in part, on live streams, recorded video, podcasts, social media, newsletters, articles, books, workshops, courses and any other media, now known or created later, and to keep those recordings and publications available. You keep ownership of your own words; you are giving us permission to use them.
3. No payment or credit
You will not be paid for your submission or for any use of it, and we do not have to credit you.
4. Names and details
We may change, leave out or blend names, places, dates and other details so that a story is harder to recognise. We will only say your first name and city if you ticked the box that says we may. We cannot promise that no one will ever recognise a story, so leave out anything you are not willing to have shared.
5. Other people in your story
Please describe other people by their role (my cofounder, my manager, my sister) rather than by full name, and do not include anyone’s contact details. By sending a submission, you confirm that:
- it is your own experience, told honestly as you understand it;
- you have the right to share it, and sharing it does not break a confidentiality agreement, a non-disclosure agreement or a court order that applies to you;
- it does not contain anything unlawful, threatening or knowingly false about anyone.
6. Not confidential, and not a professional relationship
A submission is not a private coaching session, and it is not confidential the way a session is. Sending one does not create a coaching, counselling, therapy or any other professional relationship between you and us.
Anything said on a live, in a video or in writing in response to a submission is general information and personal opinion, shared for education and entertainment. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for working with a qualified professional who knows your situation. Coaching is not therapy.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, do not use this form. In the US, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
7. Our choice, and changing your mind
We decide whether to use a submission, and we may edit it for length and clarity. Most submissions will not be used. If you change your mind before yours is used, write to hello@humancreativecoaching.com with the date you sent it and its first few words, and we will do our best not to use it. We cannot take back something that has already been shared live or published, and recordings may stay available.
8. Release
To the fullest extent the law allows, you release Human Creative Coaching, Greg Murray and anyone working with them from any claim arising from the use of your submission as these terms describe, including claims for invasion of privacy, misuse of name or likeness, defamation or copyright infringement, and you agree not to bring any such claim. If you break section 5 (for example by sending someone else’s private information, or something you had no right to share), you agree to cover the reasonable costs, including legal fees, that result for us.
9. Your contact details
If you give us your email, we use it to tell you about your submission, to reply if you asked to talk, and to send The Human Factor if you asked for it. We do not sell it. Our privacy terms at humancreativecoaching.com/legal apply.
10. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about them will be handled in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version you agreed to is recorded with your submission and continues to apply to it. Where these terms and our general site terms differ, these terms apply to submissions.
