Human Creative Coaching 2027

Co-Hort

A year with the same leaders, one Friday a month, built to move your work and your life a long way by November.

Red poppies in a garden in late light

We become more fully human in the presence of people who know how to see us, draw us out and give us what we need to grow.

Who applies

The success came. The enjoyment did not.

Most people who apply are very good at what they do, and at knowing what everyone around them needs. From the outside it looks full. From the inside it feels emptier than it should.

This is for you if

Each one is a growth edge. A year with the same people around the same table is how growth edges move.

At Human, I can bring anything to the table knowing my thoughts will be heard.Jared D. · one-to-one client
Stretch goals

Three goals, held all year.

You bring three stretch goals to the first Friday: one personal, one relational, one professional. A stretch goal is one that small improvements will not reach. If you could finish it this month, it is not the one.

Give each goal a number from 1 to 10: where it stands now, and where you want it by November.

NowBy November

Personal

Open up at deeper levels with people who are safe

Now 2By November 8

Relational

Turn a good marriage into a great one

Now 4By November 8

Professional

Get my team moving toward a new vision

Now 3By November 9

Hold it lightly. It is a way to see movement, not a grade. Goals often change as you come to understand yourself, and a better goal is a good outcome.

Between Fridays

The month does not go quiet.

Every member gets a private space on this site for the weeks between.

  • Your three goals, where you started and where you are now.
  • A check-in before each Friday, so the table starts where you are.
  • Each month’s teaching and assignment, opening when that month arrives.
  • The group, a feed only the Co-Hort and I can see, for the wins and questions between Fridays.

Private by design. Your goals and check-ins are seen by you and me, and nobody else. What you post to the group stays inside the Co-Hort. Your account opens with an invite code I give you once you are in, and you choose your own password, with two-step sign in if you want it. Example screens. Your access runs for the year. Your Director

Greg Murray

I’m a vetted and trained Townsend Leadership Program Director, and I co-facilitate the TPRAT certification for practitioners alongside Dr. Karen Bergstrom. I founded Human Creative Coaching and have practiced under it since 2021.

It is one thing to see something in a person. It is another to stay long enough to help them see it too, and to grow it. That is what a year together is for.

Before this I built a production company and worked as an instrumentalist and music director, which is a long apprenticeship in holding a group of people together.

The Welcome DinnerRelaxed, and the night everyone meets
An open window with morning light

The night before the first Friday, we have dinner. It is relaxed and unhurried. You meet the group, and the group meets your spouse, your partner or the close friend you bring.

Before the night ends, the person you brought reads you two things they have written: an affirmation, and a challenge for your year. Then we go home, and the work starts in the morning.

Where we meetLos Angeles, a board room and a deck

Most of each Friday happens around a board room table in Los Angeles. At lunch we move outside, to a deck with a pool and a hot tub. The address comes with your invitation.

What the year is built onDr. John Townsend’s curriculum, and the CORE method

Competence and Character

Strategy and goals held alongside emotional intelligence, because a business grows only as far as the people leading it.

The Leader’s Path to Growth

The fruit you see in your work and your life grows from roots of grace, truth and time.

The CORE method

Human Creative Coaching’s own method, built on four capacities: Connection, Ownership, Reality and Empowerment. Through the year it shapes group trainings on development and growth.

The year runs on Dr. John Townsend’s curriculum and workshops, alongside Human Creative Coaching’s CORE method and group trainings. The Co-Hort is a Townsend Leadership Program group, and I lead it as one of the program’s Directors.

Who it is not forBetter said here than an hour into a conversation

You want information. The books are excellent and cost about forty dollars. Start there, and come find me when you want company for the work.

A Friday a month will not clear this year. Next January may be the one, and I would rather you start it whole.

Something acute is underneath. Trauma, addiction or a marriage in freefall deserve a clinician. I will say so plainly and help you find someone good.

Questions

What people ask before applying.

Something else on your mind? Write to me at [email protected].

I have done group and coaching programs before. How do I know this will stick?
A member of a Townsend group asked me exactly this, this year. It sticks because this is a place where you actively apply what you are learning. The year is less about learning and more about participating: bringing your real life to the table on Fridays, and practicing it out in the world between them. Your assignment each month is built around your stretch goals, and the group sees what moved.
What happens after I apply?
I read it myself and write back within three working days. If the fit looks right, I send a few times for a conversation, and we both decide from there.
What does it cost?
I share it in the conversation that follows your application, the same way the rest of the practice handles rates. Nobody commits to a figure before they know the fit is right.
Do I need to share a particular faith or worldview?
No. The work is leadership and the life around it. Members come from different backgrounds and industries, and nothing in the year asks you to share my convictions.
What if I have to miss a day?
Tell me and the group ahead of time. The year is built on the same people, together each month, so we talk about what is realistic for your calendar before you commit.
Can my partner really come?
Yes, to the Welcome Dinner, the Relationship Retreat and the Closing Dinner. A close friend is welcome in the same seat.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Nothing said in a session leaves it, and every member agrees to that in writing before the first Friday.
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is developmental and built on your present and future. If what you are carrying needs a clinician, I will say so plainly and help you find someone good.
